I'm about to graduate. After that's done, I'm going to visit my friends in the USA to do an awesome road-trip. We already made appointments and all that.

Here's the shitty part: my official graduation ceremony is during this planned road trip. I didn't knew this before I made the appointment with them. God damnit. I've never been so torn about something. The whole graduation thing is important to me because I worked my ass off for four years to get there. Yet the road trip thing has been a long time dream for me also.

Fuck me. And I feel guilty for saying that because it's all about very positive stuff.

Well, first of all, I have to tell you. You've come to the right place. The folks at Dawg's are here to help. Before we can give you an answer, though, we need to know. Do any of those "appointments" involve you getting "laid"?

    Feel no guilt.
Get the diploma in the mail...it has everlasting value.
Hit the road and have a BLAST....there is a lifetime of fun experience out there.

    Enjoy!

Does your school have "technical" in the title?

Potentially both. The road-trip, yeah, big chance. The graduation ceremony, maybe. I might take a shot at a hottie from one of my classes I've been having a crush on for the last four years.

To be honest, that was my knee-jerk reaction also.

Go to your graduation. E-mail excuse (i.e. "I'm gunna go, but I'm tired..."), hire a stand-in, and provide a Cinco Face Time Party Snoozer. Boom.

My wife didn't go to her master's graduation and has been bitching about it ever since. You only get one graduation.

Is this a graduation that's focused on your particular major (e.g. nurses sometimes have their own little graduation) -- it if is one of those 2,000 people are graduating things, I'd say skip it -- have a reception with your friends and family before you go -- personally, I would LOVE if people gave me the option to skip out on their graduation ceremony, it's tremendously dull and a waste of my time, all I care about is the reception anyway

if you visit the US, stay in the larger cities, don't go to rural areas, avoid the rednecks and Tea Partiers.

It's for college, and it's a very big deal to my family and stuff, and also to myself I guess. That's why I'm kinda torn. I mean, you only get one graduation, you know?

Fuck the ceremony. It's not like you won't be getting the degree if you don't go. Go on the trip and then celebrate with your family when you get back.
