at this hour i wouldn't do any of those things, except get some indian food.

the lower 30s/upper 20s on the east side, formerly called Murray Hill, is now knows as Curry Hill.

    head there.

Yeah, the restaurant Vatan has delicious Indian food but that's more of a date place. Not for solos. 3rd Ave between 28th & 29th streets.

Go to the Carlyle piano bar..can't remember the name. Get a bellini. Or three. Flirt with the bartender. Melt when the pianist plays New York Frame of Mind for you and then stumble back to your hotel room in the wee hours.

Nice thanks for the restaurant tips I'm thinking maybe going to either Tamarind for Indian while here or maybe Mesa Grill as I've wanted to eat there for awhile

I'll look up those other Indian places. I was already looking up curry row

mesa grill is OK...head a few blocks north to the flatiron and try bolo....but you need reservations for anything decent.
btw, what neighborhood is your hotel?

Museum of Natural History or Metropolitan Museum of Art are fun. Bronx Zoo- one of the world's greatest zoos. Hayden Planetarium (Botanical Gardens right next door I think) Guggenheim museum. If you're interested in architecture St Patrick's Cathedral. Shopping: Macy's, Saks Fifth Ave, Bloomies, FAO Schwartz, 30 Rock, Empire State Building, Delancy St, Food Katz's Deli, Ray's Famous Pizza.... endless stuff.
