Yes I care about cancer and knew women that have had it. But what about prostate cancer which affects the same amount of men and kill just as much and is lot harder to detect. It gets like 10 times more funding, why? Is it because men work and bored women give their time to breast cancer awareness? Idk I'm just pissed seeing sports wear pink for a month and prostate blue for a game.

Don't worry, those bitches will overdo it and then it'll be a joke. When's the last time you saw a red AIDS ribbon? We are aware, now shut up.

And don't flip me any shit, I'm a cancer survivor and still think the awareness stuff is bullshit... People define themselves with it... Just move the fuck on and be happy to be alive.

I recently saw a special report on prostate cancer. It stated something like over 50% of all men show signs of prostate cancer during post-mortem examination whether true or not. The study recommended that yearly screenings for men are a waste of time & money as almost half the male population will test positive anyway. Interesting stuff..

You should try and learn to live with the things you can't explain. Letting them upset you like this isn't worth it.

There's a laughable disparity in funding research, but that's keeping in line with the idea that womens' lives are more valuable than mens'.

"Fifty times more money is spent on research for breast cancer than is spent on prostate cancer. Does that mean there are 50 times more women dying from breast cancer than men dying from prostate cancer? Hardly. Every year 40,000 women die of breast cancer and 34,000 men die of prostate cancer. And yearly, there are only 15,000 more new cases of breast cancer than prostate cancer."

Heart disease kills way more people than breast cancer. But c'mon, they're breasts!

What I don't get is how being aware of something helps cure it? How does wearing pink actually contribute to the cure for something? Makes no sense to me.

Because breast cancer groups have done an excellent job of lobbying for funding, soliciting donors, and educating about breast cancer.

If you'd like to see more funding for prostate cancer get involved and do something about it rather than complaining.

All those pinks shirts, hats, etc. that are sold, money from that goes to cancer research.
