George never seemed to realize that Japanese Americans were put into these camps for their own protection.
People at the time were more simple minded, a Jap is a Jap, and were so inscensed at Pearl Harbor that they were looking for Japs to beat up or kill.

I'm tired of George complaining about his vacation time at the camps. He never had it so good.

The Japs were enslaving all of Asia, better to have been an American Jap than a korean, chink or flip dealing with the Japs.

I give George a pass because he did go through something that noone in our lifetimes will ever have to go through. you just do what I do when some old fuck starts going on about how hard they had it. You just look concerned and go "uh huh" and let him talk till they forget what they were talking about. It's ironic though that the same country that put him in a relocation camp is also responsible for making him a very rich and well known person.

    Dear Mom & Dad,

You were right, Fat Camp is fun! I'm losing weight and making lots of friends.

You'll see me soon...as long as I don't turn sideways.

    Love your son,

    Porky
