Is Comcast the Worst Company in America?

    I wholeheartedly nominate Comcast.

    I had a problem with my voice mail. It took me 3 weeks and about 18 phone calls to get it resolved (no exaggeration)

    Had I not had a technical background and was able to solve problems their tech reps couldn't, the problem would never have been resolved.

    The most frustrating thing was that the problem had been "kicked up to a higher tech level" for resolution. We never received one, not one, call from the specialized tech team.

    We were just completely ignored.

    But what are my other choices? I'd go Verizon, but I hate them even more.

    FUCK YES. I spent 57 minutes on the phone with those asshats today and I'm STILL waiting for the cocksucker to come here and fix my shit. :pissed:

    Yes! I recently had a billing issue and ended up spending the day on the phone. Each time I called I received a different excuse. Asked for a supervisor but they had all left for the day. Really? At 3:30 in the afternoon? Finally at 10 pm I spoke with someone that actually helped and gave me the number to actually speak with someone in corporate. She also told me to post on Facebook which I did and received an immediate response. By the end of the day I had cable, internet.     Where I used to live my internet would go out on occasion, the cable tv still worked. They never did anything besides telling me to unscrew everything and then plug it back in.

    then when I moved to my new place they said I had cable there, just call them and they would turn it on. The cable line had been cut somewhere along the underground line and I had to be without internet and tv for several days until they were able to come an put in new wiring.

    and they keep raising prices and try to get you to change your plan, You tell them you want to downgrade and they tell you it will cost more to keep just the internet and cancel the cable part. Plus they try to upsell you and lock you in for 6 months at a cheaper rate and then when that's over it is much higher than you were paying before.

    It's a horrible monopoly and that's the problem, there are little or no other choices for people who want high speed internet and don't want satellite tv.

    I am one of those that is seriously thinking of cutting cable/satellite. This might be a good time to revisit options.

    Other than that, its best to switch back and forth every two years to get the best deal and upgraded equipment. Loyal customers always lose.

    They do my telephone and Internet service. My phone wasn't working so I had to wait for theguy to come out this past Friday. Waited around till he showed up. He spent a few hours, said there was a short somewhere in the house and would come on Sat with someone to help. Waited around all day Saturday and the dude never showed. Called again and they sent someone else on Sunday. He found a problem outside and fixed it right away. But still that's 3 days of my time waiting around for this to be fixed. Good thing I don't use my landline anyway lol.

    I use netflix and amazon for everything. If a new show is decent enough amazon will sell the episodes the next day after airing. I really only miss the news networks for their comic relief. New age digital antenna boxes provide local garbage and network channels.

    For worst company: google.

    OK, what about sports? I can get shows from hulu+, etc. But I need my NFL and College Football live????

    I have them too. Best picture and cant beat NFL sunday ticket. But...they get very expensive after the two years and I hate watching them get new customers with upgraded equipment while us loyal types have to pay big $$$$$ for the new stuff.

    As much as I hate Comcast, I find them no worse than any other mega company I deal with. It's just that people today get more pissed off when their cable goes out than when banks are robbing the country broke right under their noses. Throw a rock on Wall Street and it hits a company worse than Comcast could ever hope to be.
