I read alot of summaries of the Howard Stern Show on MarksFriggin and HowardStern.com, and it sounds like Howard is dead serious about being owed money for this lawsuit. What do you guys think?

Howard is dead serious about it, too bad the legal system, the contract and common sense see it differently.

He has already received ALL the money he was "owed" from the previous contract.

As long as he continues to show up 2-3 days a week he will continue to receive the money he is owed for his CURRENT contract.

He believes he is owed it

Much like he believes he invented radio
Much like he believes Beth loves him for who he is
Much like he believes he dominates radio today

Notice how he didn't start the lawsuit till after he renewed his 5 year contract; after that he had nothing to lose in setting his lawyers loose on a cash grab -- at best it would be double dipping since he already got a bonus for the merger -- think about it, why in god's name would Sirius agree to two separate bonuses for the exact same condition?

The spirit of the bonus statement in the contract was BRING US NEW SUBSCRIBERS. An XM subscriber being unwittingly folded into Sirius' books is miles from a subscriber that signs up to Sirius because he wants to listen to Howard.

Think of it like this: In the merger Sirius "bought" all of XM's subscribers. Those subscribers aren't there because they signed up to hear Howard's show - they couldn't even hear him if they wanted to due to their equipment. But Howard believes all those XM subscribers purchased in the merger are all there because of his show and therefore he's owed $100 million and with that much hanging of course his lawyers will keep swinging at it like a pinata.

But no way in hell he gets the ruling overturned on appeal. If there's one thing judge's don't like doing to one another its overturning a ruling unless its some seriously extenuating circumstances, which in this case its not. Thank god some judges still have half a brain.

money, money, money, money, money ".....sirius owes him his money....."

if the choice was his parents being trapped in a burning building on one floor and his money on another floor, where do you think he'd he go first?

btw, sirius doesn't owe him a penny.
