Because it looks like, at least in the bonus structure, Howard doesn't actually pay Buckwald anything -- his 10% is covered by Sirius, everytime. Is this something that's usually done?

I don't understand why the company would owe Buchwald one red cent!!! That should come out of Howie's pocket. But then again, I'm still wondering if the revenues from all the compensated conversational testimonials, endorsements and off-topic "discussions" which now have gotten ratcheted up beyond toleration, improperly go directly into Stern's pocket or get shared with Sirius.

William Mays Stern... regularly has Buchwald clients as guest only because they are Buchwald clients.
(I love to hear Wiggy doodle when a guest mentions DON.)

We have been the victim of Golden Showers for years....:bigcry:

If Sirius is paying Buckwald directly, it may be just a convenience thing for Buckwalk. It is still coming from Howard's share.

As for the lawsuit, Buckwald would be a plantiff because he is owed 10% of the $300 million Howard would have earned if the contract actually read like Howard thinks it does.

Howard was smart enough to set up a deal that has Sirius pay his agent's commission.

Howard was not smart enough to set up a deal that clearly spelled out how subscribers would be counted towards his bonus when Sirius and XM merge.

This was my thought as well. Sirius would pay Howard 90% and walkingbuck 10%

If it is an outright advertisement with an on-air ready...yes Sirius gets a piece......if its a paid plug disguised as a phony interview...no...I am convinced this money is paid under the table...Howard is screwing the company over...

Who says Howard was behind this. I say DB had this put in to be sure he got his money. He know Howie likes to sue, and sue, and sue.

I was shocked at the amount of money Don Buchwald stood to make just for being the agent, talk about fleecing the company for all the marbles.. :jj:

First time quoting myself, but after I thought about this, is this just a way to get out of paying income tax on DB's commision? I am no accountant or tax attorney, but it seems that Howard has many devious ways of cheating the IRS.
