On the June 1st show Robin mentioned that she's having cryotherapy. Once again another non-traditional medical procedure for a woman who used to be a nurse.

I always though the Iowaska thing was her last ditch effort to combat her growing cancer without traditional means.

I believe she's had a recurrence - good luck Robin.

Nah, she said she was cured.

Maybe she meant like a Christmas ham.

The other day Howard mentioned someone who died from cancer and said "they told him he was cancer-free, but it came back" and you could tell there was a momement where they realized they needed to just move on.

Yeah but Howard said she was cured.

He must have been absent when they explained the 5 year cancer rule.

Beau Biden was cancer free and told that he was cured but the cancer came back and killed him. We all said she tooted her horn too quickly about being cured...you can even make the five year mark and still have a recurrence of cancer. Robin used her remission to publicize her crappy cookbook.

In a cancer as advanced as hers the chance of recurrence is extremely high. The doctors may have gotten all visible signs of the disease and attempted to postpone recurrence via chemo but assuming there were no cancer causing cells left was way too optimistic. If I were her I'd quit the show and enjoy the time I had left but Howard probably guilts her into staying so he can keep harvesting marbles.

No one gets cured, it is merely a remission.

Dr. Stern at it again. If she does in fact have another battle with cancer on her hands, I feel bad for her and wish her the best. Cancer fucking sucks.

I love how all the dummies in the room (and I'm looking at you Sal) always go back to this as a thing where Robin should just be there as a news reader, co-host, and on-site medical pro. This was just my attempt today to say Fuck Sal and that I hate him even more than Benjy which is hard to do.

But Robin isn't like you or me.
She doesn't have much of a life outside of the show. The show is probably one of the few moments where she is able to interact with other people.

    You reminded me of this.

"Robin Quivers to Receive ‘Woman of the Year’ Honors at Talkers New York 2015. Longtime Howard Stern show cast member Robin Quivers will be honored at the June 12 Talkers New York 2015 conference where she will be presented with the Judy Jarvis Memorial Award for Outstanding Contributions to Talk Radio by a Woman – known informally as the ‘Woman of the Year’ award. Robin Quivers is legendary in the radio business – an industry she entered in the late 1970s on a daytime AM station in tiny Carlisle, Pennsylvania. A couple of upward moves later she was cast in the news anchor role at WWDC, Washington “DC 101” when Howard Stern began as morning host there in March of 1981. Thirty-four years later, she’s still holding her own as the “voice of reason” on Stern’s SiriusXM program. "
