Marc Fuckin' Ford. Saw Blue Floyd back in '00 also. They were incredible. When Marc got back with the Crowes in '05 he and Rich would duet this song too. Good times!

I'm not a huge Stones fan, but for me, this song is almost perfect rock and roll:

    'Merican bands? This one.

    British?

A great song because there's not a bunch of veiled mythological caca in it.

Robin, I helped write and sing that song for my movie soundtrack. Did I ever tell you that the soundtrack was considered for an Oscar? Well, not really considered, but considered to be considered.

You know why I stand Freebird as the best classic rock song of all-time? The live version (the version most often played) is 13-14 minutes long. When that comes on, whether on a short drive or a long one, I've gotta listen all the way . I get pumped up as the solos approach and I have to hear the crescendo all the way through. Shit, it's probably the reason that I consider The Devil's Rejects to be Rob Zombie's best work.

It's the Shawshank Redemption of songs. I've I stumble across it, I know what I'll be doing for the next 2 hours or 14 minutes...

This gets my vote for the quintessential classic rock song
.....with probably The Stones Gimme Shelter as the runner up.. or maybe even Sympathy For The Devil
