Bosom Buddies, Bachelor Party, Splash, Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, The Green Mile, Castaway, etc. Thoughts?

He is probably the most successful actor who has a kinda blockhead and pubie hair.

He also seems like a nice guy, but all that is done by the douchebag fruit of his loins Chet Hanks.

Net: It is a long long way to be in Bogart, Brando, Deniro land.

I'm watching The Green Mile so I thought, "this guy transforms himself for every role"

    Maybe.
He's the modern alternative to James Stewart.
I'd have to see Hanks in a Western before I could say for certain.

C'mon.............How many roles were piped to him after one or two good or even outstanding performances.Big and Philadelphia were his standouts but Gump was over sentimental and other roles were 'Lets get Hanks for that.'

That goes with a lot of the 'Stars',they win one Oscar then other film roles come up and they see if the actor fits in.....and how much they are liked by the general public at the moment.(Which counts for promotion).

    He's fantastic.

I'm also a very big fan of Leonardo Dicaprio.
