I'm watching too
best show on tv
For those who aren't aware, all the previous seasons are available on Netflix. Incredible show...one of the funniest since Seinfeld (different kind of funny). It's pretty cool that the 3 guys are actually the folks who write/direct many episodes, and that they had a hand in the shows creation (Mac is credited as the creator however). I wonder how they got the project off the ground...they didn't seem to have a resume before the show broke.
I thought they won a contest for FX where a bunch of pilots got submitted to their website and the fans voted on which one they wanted to be turned into a TV and it was originally Always Sunny in Los Angeles but they moved it to Philly because every show takes place in LA or NY, something along those lines
it got old quick, every character is over the top looney tunes. much better show is fx's legit, blows away Louis ck. they rotate 3 eps on the fx website a week.
Most consistently funny show on TV, IMO. I'm kinda worried that show's gonna get lost in the network switch.
This, more or less.
And the show was going to get canceled after the first season, but the president of FX still liked it and renewed on the condition that they add his buddy, Danny Devito, in an effort to boost the show's profile.
In fact, to this day, I believe that Devito shoots the vast majority of his scenes for the season in a big block. IE... He films his scenes for all episodes and then they go back and finish the episodes individually.
You gotta pay the troll toll to get into this boy's hole
Is it ever cloudy?
No, i like the show it's goo
Never watch, not a fan.
Well I know you've all been trained, we've all been trained as Howard stern fans to bag on impressionist and other interviewers but Kevin Pollak did an outstanding interview with Glenn (Dennis) Howerton a year ago where he goes over in great detail how they got the show on the air and how they conceive the episodes.
Fast Forward to 18:12 to get past the Kevin Pollak scthick bullshit.
I'm looking forward to watching the interview, but I don't know how I'm supposed to let that porkpie hat fly.
This is a damn funny show in my opinion. Over the top, yeah. Unbelievable, yeah. But so what. It cracks me up. Trying to catch up on Netflix, almost there. Devito is great - loved him on Taxi. He's basically the same character.
The Christmas episode where they remember their childhood Xmas's is the funniest episode IMHO. I will watch it thru out the year.
Ya, kick ass show, super funny....
