A Los Angeles science teacher was arrested for sexually abusing her 15-year-old student, police said Tuesday. Michelle Yeh, 28, had taken on a temporary teaching gig at San Pedro High School, where she met the teenage boy in one of her classes in February. She reached out to the student when school ended for the summer, arranging "private meeting" with him, the Los Angeles Police Department said. The victim told police Yeh sexually abused him in July. Yeh was arrested last Friday on suspicion of lewd acts with a child and released on $100,000 bail, authorities said. She’s due back in court Aug. 12. Google Yeh had taken on a temporary teaching gig at San Pedro High School in Los Angeles this year. Deputies believe there may be more young victims and urged them to come forward. Yeh had held multiple temporary teaching assignments in the Los Angeles area and also offers online tutoring, authorities said. The Los Angeles Unified School District declined to comment citing "confidential personnel issues." The investigation is ongoing, the LAPD said.
