    Hello, hello,

I didn't post a thread last night because I ate reheated leftovers. Had a late dinner tonight because I took a nap, but it all came together nicely. This meal was inspired by an episode of "South Park"...

    On Tonight's Menu:

Antipasti - Goat Cheese-Stuffed Peppadew Peppers with Fresh Herbs and a Balsamic Reduction, Rustic Bread with Roasted Garlic Mash, and Sopressata...

...and a track by the band Television that is almost 11 minutes of pure post-punk glory. Its "Marquee Moon" form the album of the same name. Check it out:

Feel free to talk about your food and music. I hope all is well at Dawg's.

Looks great. Problem is I have no fuckin idea how to do what you just said.

BTW. How long did this take to prepare? If I have to spend more than 30 minutes on something then it ain't happening.

    Thank you!

    ..and thank you too!

If they were in season, I would have sliced a garden tomato and served it as well.

    Antipasti is Sweetie's favorite.

How you doing man? Getting through it?

I like your attention to all 4 food groups. Well balanced meal, sir!

I made croissant wrapped hotdogs, stuffed with cheese and bacon, and a medley of fresh veggies.

It took less than 30 minutes. The most tedious step was stuffing the peppers and peeling the garlic(though you can buy it pre-peeled). I just mixed the herbs with the goat cheese, put balsamic vinegar on the stove and reduced it until it coated a metal spoon. Meanwhile I roasted the garlic. I drained and stuffed the peppers. Took the garlic out, mashed it, mixed it with a bit of sea salt. Sliced the bread and brushed it with olive oil, put the bread and the peppers under the broiler on low. The only thing I had to chop was the ends of the garlic and the herbs for the cheese filling (basil, chives, black pepper, goat cheese).

Just to be clear, anti-pasti is pretty much like an italian cheese-meat-bread veggie platter right?

As for the other thing, not so well, but got a new plan!

Thank you kindly! It was awesome. Those peppers are a perfect balance of spicy and sweet.

    Thank you, sir!

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: Love Television, they're in my top 20 bands of all time.

I love croissant wrapped hot dogs! We call them "Pigs In A Blanket" here. So good, and kids love them!

Don't be ashamed, if I wasn't cooking for two, most of my meals would be stuff like cornflakes or an egg bagel with butter. I cook to impress Sweetie!

Yes...its a bunch of different little dishes, vegetables, cheese, breads, things like that.

Sorry it didn't work out for you. You may need to seek help from other people if you can't do it on your own. Good luck!

    ???

No, I haven't decided what I'm going to do about this message board thing. I feel very comfortable here. I get tired of the huge bumped threads and the mults. I don't know where I stand on it just yet.

Its not tomatoes, its little peppers...

I used to hate raw tomatoes too, but my palette has become more refined over the years. Thank goodness.
