It's strange the way we, as a society, haven't moved away from Sweet-n-low

Equal is 10 times better than Sweet-n-low.

Splenda is 100 times better than Equal.

Yet you, the obedient little sheep, continues to reach for Sweet-n-low solely out of habit.

"It's what I've always done", you say, "...I dunno lol, beats me... I guess it's just a habit".

Whenever I eat Grape Nuts I have to put sugar on it, otherwise it tastes like gravel.

Like a complete ass, you use a vastly inferior product because your primitive brain can't move past what you first learned in 1982

    Fascinating.

What a stupid motherfucking way to try to put people down. Who even pays the tiniest bit of attention to what kind of sweetener someone uses?

    Suggestions for future threads:
Slab foundation vs pier and beam vs crawl space
Short sleeve shirts vs long sleeve
Ticonderoga pencils vs American Pencil Co.
Goodyear vs Firestone vs Michelin vs Toyo etc. tires
    Chiquita vs Dole bananas

You missed it, of course. Of course.

A better example would be asking why some people (total idiots) still pay their bills by writing out a check and mailing them in an envelope vs. using online bill pay.

Meaning genius: there are numerous examples in life where one path is vastly superior, better, quicker, easier, safer, etc and yet, in spite of that, a sizable % of the population refuses to adapt to the future even though they themselves would agree that the other product/path/process is a much better alternative.

"I refuse to get a refrigerator.... I like it when the ice guy haul's up a new block of ice every few days... it's the way I've always done it"

"I like driving to Blockbuster to rent a movie vs. ordering one on PPV or Netflix.... it's a routine".

"Yes, even though I agree that Splenda is a much better product, I reach for the other one anyway because it's just a habit".

Actually, the more I think about it, its no so strange. People question so few things, and habits become law.

My father in law, to this day, refuses to use an ATM machine. He walks into a branch during business hours and hands the teller a withdrawal slip.

The entire premise of Sweet-n-low is that is a low calorie alternative to sugar.

Yet this product has been replaced again and again and again by far superior products who taste more like like sugar than Sweet-n-low ever will and it has the same zero calories.

Oh yeah, they don't have this warning either:

"So it taste like pure shit compared to new products.... so it causes cancer in laboratory animals, which those other products won't..... I will still reach for it because my pathetic little brain has formed a habit"

The replies in this thread are quite telling. Like a child with their fingers in their ears.
