People not only need to be protected from themselves, but the medical resources being utilized to care for those willfully damaging their health could be diverted to many more meaningful causes.

People who don't smoke will be more of a drain on the system. Plus, the taxes people who smoke pay in taxes will more than take care of their medical needs.

Europe is waaaay more relaxed about smoking . Cigerettes are the one item years ago that the government held onto and made the American Sheeple paranoid about . Yes they are addictive , Yes they are bad. But it wasn't until it was brainwashed and browbeaten into us...and the second hand smoke shit is nonsense . How many people do you know that went to the funeral of somebody that died from second hand smoke..?

I hate tobacco, but I don't believe in telling people how to live or being judgemental as to who does and doesn't receive healthcare.

People who use tobacco live shorter lives and pay a 5 dollar insurance premium on each pack they smoke. Carry on I say.

Cigarettes are nasty....and breathing in the second hand smoke just plain sucks

Last week I had the pleasure of working with TWO chainsmokers. At least once I accidentally breathed in a huge whiff of their smoke.

I don't care if people smoke..I just don't want to breathe that nasty smell in..or get that stink in my clothes..my car or my place

On a side note, my mother..a smoker..watched my cats for me once.

They came home stinking of cigarettes
    Nasty
Oh yeah...and her sister who was a smoker...died at 43 from cancer that started in her lungs and spread to her brain

My mother still can't quit...Oh yeah, and 47 years of smoking left her face looking like a used catcher's mitt
