Local teacher arrested, charged with improper relationship Montana Davis (Jail photo) MEXIA, Texas (KWTX) Montana Joan Davis, 24, was in the McLennan County Jail Friday night charged with improper relationship between educator and student. At around 7:30 a.m. Lacy Lakeview Police arrested Davis at her home in Lacy Lakeview. Her bond was set at $30,000, online jail records showed. An improper relationship between educator and student is a second-degree felony. Mexia ISD Superintendent Dr. Sharon Ross confirmed on Feb. 9 that the district was investigating allegations involving an inappropriate relationship between a staff member and a high school student. Ross declined at the time to provide the staff member’s position at the school, or the gender of the staff member or student involved, but said the staff member was on paid leave, pending the results of the investigation.
