ITT:Ask me anything or tell me to fuck off! (WGAS Edition)

I'm off of work doing normal chores so figured I'd start a stupid thread.

Ask or condemn as you wish and I'll check back/reply as often as my project at hand allows.

Will investing in gold really be any help in the event of a complete financial meltdown?

That seems to be popular opinion. I'm more interested in investing in ammo.

WTF are you trying to say?!?!

I like me some Sigs but the Glock 17 9mm is city issued and is what I carry off duty as well. My back-up (ankle gun) for on duty is/was a S&W CS9. I rarely carry it anymore since switching to the uber reliable Glock and my wife likes the CS9 so I feel safer leaving it at home for her just in case.

I guess it varies from state to state, but are traffic signs in parking lots enforceable? Like at a mall or something, if no one is around and you run a stop sign is that a punishable offense?

got a case across the hall. 16 LAPD officers swarm a house on an anonymous tip that they are dealing drugs. they go in hot, beat up 3 people, find nothing. the family sues the LAPD for "civil rights violations".

    prediction?

Do you really like those retired horses or do you keep them around just in case of global famine?

That's a good question and on my department seems open to interpretation. I am of the opinion that they are on private property and none of our business. Some bosses feel different/some agree. Accident reports in parking lots are a similar debate since it's on private property......I prefer to do a "damage to property" report and some bosses insist on an accident report (for insurance purposes both will suffice). I know it's a shitty answer but it is one of those gray areas. While it is private property it is open to public use so I don't think either way to look at is "wrong". Also, as I've said many times, I don't concern myself with traffic laws as a priority so I'm probably not the best source for an answer here. That's my answer. :toptip:

Fuck that "anonymous tip" bullshit IMO. That's a fine reason to take an interest in something and start and invest but I want quite a bit more before forcing an entry and beating folks. I'd say they are fucked if your info is correct.

I've grown to love 'em but for me they are just big pets that need lots of work. My wife is the reason we have 'em......one to ride and one to be a companion for the other (horses don't like solitude). "Blaze" is a retired police horse that spent his entire career in the ghetto. It sounds cheesy but it is an honor to give him a place to live out his life where he is spoiled. Same for "Sky", Blaze's pony buddy. He was a school and therapeutic riding horse for over 20 years. My wife always wanted to adopt older horses and give them a good retirement and I'm happy to help her with it.
