I've seen every episode of The Sopranos, The Wire, Mad Men, and Deadwood multiple times*. I like Bryan Cranston. Everyone says its great. But I just havent been able to pull the trigger. Am I a dumbass (please limit opinions to the topic in question :D)?

*only mention these because they were/are similar in the ravidness of their fanbase. Hell, I was OBSESSED with LOST until the cocksucking piece of shit mother fucking abortion of a last season.

it took a bit longer for me to get into BB, but i'm glad i stuck with it. it is on the same level as the Wire for sure.

just make sure you start watching during a period where you're not too busy. you're likely to spend all your free time obsessively watching it until you're caught up.

I waited til the 4th season to watch. I've been burned by shows I loved like "Point Pleasant" on Fox and "Touching Evil" on USA that get canceled after one season, so I was weary.

    It's great, I'd suggest watching.

I've only seen the first episode and never watched any of the others. However, EVERYONE I know who's watched it says it's the best so i feel like a stubborn douche. I'm going to try and watch all of them before the show ends.

I haven't seen a second of your mom naked. Just because everyone else has, doesn't mean I want to also.

Honestly, I'd say it's easily one the top three best TV shows of all time.

I ignored it until Season 4 came out. 1-3 were on Netflix so I finally gave it a shot and I was immediately hooked. The writing, acting, directing, soundtrack/scoring, cinematography...all top notch. It can be brutal and full of blood, death and gore in one scene and then have you laughing in another.

The thing is, even though it starts out great, it really turns into something much, much bigger as it goes on. It gets insanely big in scope, but gradually so. It never feels forced or unrealistic. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I enjoyed the first episode, but it really didn't reflect what the show is or will soon become. Within a few episodes of season 1, your jaw will drop and you'll be amazed by what goes down and how people react to it.

It took me a few months to get through the first episode... something about it just made me keep turning it off. After the first 2-3 episodes I spent every spare moment watching the rest.

"Should I watch it or not!" I feel for you, boxerboy! (I have yet to start as well, but about to give up and join the cult). I TRUST you have watched all 3 seasons of the Genius of Pilko, though??

FYI to those scratching their little round heads...Ricky Gervais show, HBO. Brilliant cartoon adaptation of his podcasts. Find it, watch it. A lot of it on youtube, if not all. Piss your pants funny.

The Wire? I've watched the first six episodes of season 1 and I have no idea why anybody liked this show. I'm about two steps away from throwing the DVDs in the garbage.

I don't mean this as a diss, but the reason The Wire is so highly regarded, the reason it's considered the No. 1 greatest TV show of all time by Entertainment Weekly (see link below), is because it's extremely compelling TV for smart people. It just feeds our brain. Non-smart people, on the other hand, ....
