If you listen to the show in the early 90s, when a discussion starts with Jackie, Howard and Robin address and speak to him directly. Later in the decade, when Jackie speaks, Howard and Robin don't engage with him at all. They just launch directly into the Jackie Voice and speak mostly to eachother. For instance, if Jackie says, "I went drinking with Nanc with this weekend," he is immediately plowed with three people squawking, "HA HA I'M JACKIE I LOVE TO DRINK GLUGLUGLUGGLUG." So, a question: when did Jackie becoming a character instead of just a guy? Was it a gradual thing, or something that exploded as a result of the puppet?
