I've been on a big Jackie the Joke Man kick lately. I'd like this thread to be a place where people can discuss and/or post video/audio of Jackie's greatest hits/fits.

Jackie's tenure on the show was a little before my time (I only heard a handful of live episodes featuring him back in the day) so I have to rely on YouTube for my Joke Man fix. Here are some recent faves:

    Jackie Tells Racist Jokes

Jackie vs. Andrew Dice Clay (Jackie crushes unfunny Dice IMHO)

    Jackie Visits After Artie Left

Since Joke Hunt was so unceremoniously dismissed from Howard's channels, Jackie has popped up on the occasional
podcast. I'm still waiting for him to do Gilbert's! :tantrum:

Here are some of his recent, post-Sirius podcast appearances:
(Penn's and Keith's are probably the best of the lot)

    Jackie on Penn's Sunday School

Jackie on Keith and the Girl

Jackie on NYC Crime Report with Pat Dixon 8-3-15
Jackie on NYC Crime Report with Pat Dixon 8-29-15

Jackie on The Red Light Podcast

Jackie on Tell Your Friends! History's Greatest Podcast

Perhaps Jackie's most high-profile recent appearances have been courtesy of renaissance man Anthony Cumia:

    Ant with Jackie solo

    - should start at 5:27

    w/ Jackie & Stuttering Yawn

    - should start at 16:40

I'd hoped this hour-long Joke Land special he did for Ant's network would have become a regular thing, but so far no dice:

Jackie has recently taken up residence at the Broadway Comedy Club hosting The Jackie Martling Show every Monday night" forever!" This is not broadcast or podcasted - it is simply a stand-up show where audience members are encouraged to win back their $10 admission (as well as other Jackie-themed prizes) by telling jokes on stage.

So.. since most of my familiarity with Jackie has been more recent fare, I'm curious to know what the Old Guard remembers about Jackie? What are some of your favorite moments from the show when the Joke Man reigned supreme?

I saw him live in the early 90s, went up on stage to stump him. I didn't but I got a 'I stumped the Jokeman' t shirt that I still have!
I love the Jackie years. :)

I started listening in '93. There is nothing better than the Jackie/Billy West era. Don't even try to argue or make a mockery of this.

Comedy's greatest b-lister. Stern would have been nothing without him. The chemistry went bad the moment he left the show.

It has never been Stern who was funny, it were the people around him what made the show great. Except for Robin.

Jackie sold out the fans, WXRK offered him a great salary but he wanted more, Howard did everything he could but Jackie's greed was over the top. That's why Fred and Robin don't want him back, he left the show and the fans all because of cash, he wouldn't even show his face on the E show because he didn't get pad for it. And you people think Howard is cheap.

Howard got lions share due to contract by donald buckmold not humor or talent. You should cherish the fact that Howard pays you to post here. Thanks for all you do.
