crazy bastard isn't gonna fry. Howard related because I wish Beth was in that theater when he went nuts
Once upon a time, this shit would have been open and shut, he'd be dead within a week, and his memory would be forgotten, or if he was ever mentioned again, it would be as a complete monster, to be hated and loathed for all times....
Should he really be put to death? I am not anti-death penalty but I feel it's safe to say this man was insane. He deserves to spend the rest of his life locked up but he truly was without his senses imo. I am sure however if I had family involved in the massacre I might want him dead but if there was ever someone truly deserving of an insanity plea I think it's he.
Nobody likes beef but wishing death on her? I thoroughly dislike our current pres but don't wish death on him. Thats bad juju on you.
a true punishment is to sit in jail for the rest of your life and think about what caused you to be there.....money to keep them alive is worth it IMO...not material compared to SSI, medicare , Medicaid and other gov benefits that we foot death penalty is the easy way out
As long as he stays locked up forever I'm fine with it. Please don't tell me down the road that he's been treated with drugs and is no longer a threat. I don't care.
If he's insane and had no understanding of what he did, then he wouldn't have any understanding about his death sentence either. These days, every evil act had some excuse for it.
You think so? He will be taken to supermax prison in Colorado. No sun, no human interaction, cell 23 hours a day. 1 hour in a hole to exercise where you cannot see the sky or the earth. He will be praying for death in no time. Supermax is a 1000 times worse than death. I have a feeling this is what they wanted.
I know but thats what hes looking at, i would be shocked if they put him in a state prison with other inmates, but you never really know.
I remember reading somewhere that he cost of annual incarceration is 30-35k/year. Let's say he lives another 30 or so years. That's a million bucks. Imagine what all the appeal on a death penalty would cost?
As conservative as I am, I just can't support the death penalty. Yes, he did a heinous, unforgivable crime. He deserves it and more, I think his judgement will come when he dies. Mental illness is just an awful millstone and unfortunately part of humanity.
I don't know Dawg. If he killed your brother or son would you still feel the same? The family members will still have to hear updates on this piece of shit forever. Zap him.
