    Japan's Unit 731 did some ridiculously evil experiments on hundreds of thousands(millions?) of Chinese and other countries' POW's, among them live vivisection. After the war the US paid off the scientists involved for their data in exchange for cash and amnesty from war crimes prosecution.

    Yes. One could argue they were even more fucked up than the Nazis. We should have zero guilt about nuking them to end the war.

    It's bizarre that two separate countries were attempting to take over the world simultaneously.

    People talk about Hitler a lot but barely mention this. Seems like nothing would have stopped them aside from two nukes. They ignored calls to surrender. They thought it was a 'Holy War' for the Emperor. Cuckoo.

    It's so surreal that they were capable of this. I was in Japan a couple of months ago and they were some of the kindest, warm-hearted people I've ever met.
