Is anyone listening to the show right now?
unless Sirius gets someone like Rush to replace him.
What is Jay smokin or drinkin right now and how can I get some?
Jay's also a Buchwald client.
they dont have the technology to determine how many fans howard has.
they're still talking about it. now he's suggesting O'Reilly to replace Howard
well ur ignoring the whole fucking context
some moron said jay could replace howard, which he rightly points out is not true
nobody is listening to howard....REALLY nobody is listening to jay. I love jay I listen to him every day
and he reads my letters all the time on the air
but lets be honest, jay told everyone to click on a link
and like 40 people in 7 days clicked on it LOL
jay has a tiny audience. O&A if anyone should replace howard, or limbaugh i agree with that, limbaugh has a massive audience but its real questionable how many would actually buy sxm to hear his show if he went dark on AM
He is irreplaceable. Who can do it?
The Howard we all loved is irreplaceable. Even the current Howard Stern can't replace him.
no matter what you think of his show, nobody can deny his popularity and success.
and Jay > Howard.
Jay has said over the years that he is there only because Howard gave him the chance/job.
It is a shame because Jay cannot really be good since he cannot be honest about Howard and all the crap that probably used to go on in the 80's. Jay tells the best stories and I'm sure he has some good ones about Howard.
Jay is also afraid of Howard and afraid to say anything bad about Howard. Jay does have respect for Howard as a DJ from his past work, but I think it is just his opinion that there is no one who could take Howard's place at Sirius. I just hope when Howard goes we can still hear the old shows from 2010 back, but I don't think that will happen.
Is that true? Only 40 people? I know Covino and Rich supposedly have almost no audience as well.
according to what howard said a few weeks back jay was always friendly to him even after he was fired from k-rock evidently he invited him to
the set of love & war when howard was broadcasting from LA, and so on
the telling story is really this, jay said once when he and howard were competing (i assume in LA) howard called him on the air
and they yelled at eachother. after the show buchwald called them both and told them to cool it, i believe he said that
was pretty much their last altercation though he has inferred behind the scenes howard has said he doesnt think jay is funny at all
yeah before xmas he promoted some guys facebook and told people to go there and "like " it, before they promoted it the guy had 68 likes, jay was off for
the holiday, on the next live show the guy called in and said he got 104 likes on his page
also you can tell by the fact the line is busy maybe once a year to call in
my guess would be jays audience is in the 10s of thousands range, and howards is in the 100s of thousands range. now when u add in replays things get a little murky so who really knows. You can also point at Art Bell, who basically quit because he had a call in show and no one was fucking calling. Its hard to say exactly why the audience is so small, bad promotion, too many channels, the fact shows are replayed on tape so theres no incentive to listen live ? idk but i think jay is broadcasting to a very very small audience
like he said the other day, if they did the same show even on a medium market FM station, kevin would be playing to sold out crowds...its just not a huge platform unless ur o&a or stern
is he NOT simulcast on SXM? that is actually kind of shocking if hes not on one of the politics channels
his deal is actually the opposite of howards terrestrial deal. they give the show away for free or very small fee so it gets picked up
on a shit ton of stations especially rural AM which are starved for any kind of programming to fill the days and in exchange he gets
to run a chunk of his own ads as compensation. so he builds this massive audience by giving his content away free. i dont know
if rush came up with this or his management but frankly its ingenious and shows an enormous amount of confidence in his own
abilities to pick up an audience because if he failed to draw he wouldnt make shit
stern on the other hand got paid for each market. where infinity sold the show outside their network they charged a hefty fee
thats why howard was really only heard in the major markets and rural areas never heard of him really.
I think howard believed his own bullshit, I think he really believed a majority of his audience would buy in. But what the fuck howard still gets 80m a year and how many
Days a week does rush have to work. I think the wigmeister got the last laugh there obscurity or not
Typo. Jay meant despicable.
All true. Rush's show is better than ever.
