... and so on. Thoughts?
They got worse as they went on, Airplane.
Joey Ramone's first stage name was Jeff Starship.
Throw in ziggy stardust and you've got yourself an away team.
Grace Slick/Paul Kantner also did some albums together in the early 70s, kind of a Jefferson Airplane sound.
Heard this on the way home from work tonight, which inspired the thread.
Love this tune.
J. Airplane & Early J. starship when Grace Slick and Marty Balin were members
Absolutely love the ballads that Marty Balin did with JS. Other than that the only plus was Papa John continuing with them as well as Tuna. Starship does not even deserve mention. So I guess JA. However one of my favorite albums was Blows against the empire by JS before there really was a JS.
I have to agree with you on this, though I think the hits in later years saturated the airwaves to the point of madness. I could probably recite "We Built This City" word for word in my sleep...and it's one of my least favorites.
That was one of the Paul Kantner/Grace Slick albums I was talking about.
jonpow is one of the smartest, coolest guys here. Betta recognize.
I got a lot of that stuff from my brother when he moved, the first Jefferson Starship is good but each subsequent one got a bit weaker.
Where do they fall on the dumb people smart people continuum
Can't even count the number of times I listened to Blows against the empire with headphones trippin balls
You aren't too shabby yourself, woman.
I loved the spinoff band Hot "fuckin'" Tuna! Jorma and Jack rocked and jammed for hours..ahh those were the days
