Jennifer Lawrence is moving on from the X-Men franchise, MTV Newsreports. Appearing on the red carpet for her new film Serena, the actress, who portrayed the mutant Mystique in both First Class and Days of Future Past, said the upcoming film X-Men: Apocalypse will be her final appearance in the role. "It is my last one, actually," she said, with no further explanation. As sad as this is, we all knew this day would come, right? You can't expect a magical creature such as Lawrence to stick around forever. Plus, the film just cast Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Jean Grey (Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner), which could mean there's a new era coming. Or maybe this is the end of the road for the X-Men franchise? The word apocalypse does sound rather final, does it not?
In other words, she signed a 3 movie contract before she became a huge star. After that's fulfilled she probably doesn't want to deal with the makeup and be part of an ensemble cast when she can be the lead in other movies.
She's just negotiating... but IMO her character is not integral to the story any longer. It's still weird to have that image of her from behind being held like a bowling bowl. How embarrassing.
I didn't make it all the way through, but it seemed like they crammed JL into a bigger part in the movie because shes the flavor of the month. Perhaps if her butthole played a more prominent role I would have watched until the end. I thought the one with Kevin Bacon was pretty cool.
i just emailed her a contract where she would be painted white by me... the FBI may or may not be called
its real... i had it blown up to poster size and hung on my wall tho the people at Costco Photo Center were not thrilled with me when I went to pick it up
no doubt having that blue shit painted on you for hours every fucking day gets old after a few years, specically if u no longer need the money, or can take easier roles
I'm a fan of Stan Lee but the X men has been meh. Seems forced. Other than Wolverine where they developed his character so well, the rest of them have been complete shit. Like way too hot curry and low end beer the next day kinda shit. Fuck the X men despite J Law's amazing cloud performance.
