Good job Christie.
Are all the bridges open?
Wuts a Bennie?
must be like a Weekend Waldo
Fat bastard ate all the hot dogs in jersey.
Benny is a derogatory term used by year-round residents of the Jersey Shore to describe rude, flashy, loud tourists from North Jersey and New York. Since local residents appreciate the tourists' economic contribution, the term "Benny" sometimes refers to only those unpleasant tourists who cut lines, drive recklessly, start fights, park on the wrong side of the street, harass women, or deliver other disrespect.
Benny is an acronym for the tourists' origins of Bayonne, Elizabeth, Newark, and New York - and areas around them. [The "B" may also stand for "Brooklyn".]
they misspelled it;
The term BENNY originated from the letters of the train stations on the Jersey Shore line where annual toursit come down to the shore and mess up everything between Memorial day and Labor day.
As long as they stay up there or only go to the area we cordoned off for them down here (Myrtle Beach) I am fine with whatever you call them
Would you rather have the visitors you just had over the weekend?
(lived in Myrtle 30 yrs, moved 18 mos ago)
Last yr I saw some tard w literally the entire state of NJ tattooed on his whole back :JJ:
D. None of the above.
Haha. I feel for you. Most of us avoid Myrtle like the plague. They are starting to find NC beaches, but still in manageable small numbers.
This is the popular definition, but locals would complain about tourists always having $100 bills (Benjamin Franklin) to change and in south Jersey they would get an influx of Philly tourists coming over the Ben Franklin bridge.
We called them shoobies.
I'm from outside Hickory NC, as a kid up until I was probably 6 or 7 we always went to Myrtle, I remember the beach being SO packed even back in the 70's, you had to struggle to find a spot to put down your towel, crazy stuff. My dad's best friend ended up buying a beachfront house in Long Beach, on Oak Island NC (now it's just "Oak Island)...AWESOME spot, NOBODY ever on the beach, perfect spot. almost 35 years later people are starting to figure out how great it is down there, the beaches are a lot more crowded now but nowhere near as bad as Myrtle. If I ever hit the lottery I'd buy a big place down on Oak Island, such a great spot..
The Wildwood/Ocean City tourists from Philly have a different name, I forget what it is though.
That is it.
Here's what "they" turned Myrtle into this weekend...
[h=1]Two people shot, wounded in Myrtle Beach as video surfaces of shooting that killed three the day before[/h] [h=2]The two victims, a man and a woman, were expected to survive after they were shot at the Wave Rider Resort in the South Carolina beach city on Sunday night. The violence erupted just one day after a shooting at a nearby hotel left three people dead and one person wounded. A video posted online shows the moment shots were heard during a brawl outside the motel on Saturday night.[/h]
Is it the other B word? Blaeks?
