Certainly not as exciting as the Bea Arthur picture, which may or may not be true, but Jimmy Kimmel donated 72 computers to his alma mater, Clark High School - class of 1985.

Kimmel said on Twitter that he didn't buy the painting. It was a joke between him and Jeff Ross on Twitter, and the media took it seriously, forgetting they are comedians.

No way would Kimmel throw away half his salary on a painting/present.

I think this is what bugs me most about Howard's $52M house...he could have done a lot of good with that money....and he just pissed it away on a 12 bathroom house.

Howard donates money every year to Boston University and if I remember correctly has a fund set up for promising media students every year too.

Comment: Ever since I started attending Boston University, I've heard a
rumor about one of its most famous alumni, Howard Stern. Apparantly, he
offered a very hefty sum of money to BU's College of Communication with
the stipulation that it be renamed the Stern School Of Communication. The
BU administration balked, as it did not want to be associated with Stern
(they frequently distance themselves from him whenever possible). The
College of Communication, while still a top communication school,
nonetheless is known on campus for its outdated and inadequate facilities,
especially as it's across the street from the well-funded School Of
Management (the "Temple Of Money," as it's been dubbed by those on the
outside). Communication students often bemoan BU's apparant decision to
reject Stern's offer at the expense of its students.

Anyway, is there any truth to this? This rumor is commonly accepted on
campus but I haven't been able to find anything on it and I'm wondering if
it's just a complete fabrication, as many of BU's rumors are.

It's true. After getting snubbed by his alma mater, he offered the money to the college that keeps his favorite strip club Scores populated, both with dancers and with customers. Hence the Stern School of Business at NYU...

Yes. That is exactly what gets me, too. When there are so many people just struggling these days, it just would be inconceivable for
me to put that kind of dough toward a house for me and an idiotic spouse when those millions could provide real help for many others.

And who wants 12 bathrooms, anyway? I'm the main one who gets stuck plunging the toilet when one gets clogged in our house--
I hate being responsible for TWO toilets, let alone TWELVE!

Don't laugh. My youngest won scholarships. Five hundred here, 1K there. All in all it doesn't make a dent but got press for certain organizations and corporations. I doubt Howard picks up the tab for even one kid in need. Remember! Kids don't have tails!

$1k or 500 hundy doesn't 'pick up the tab'. Picking up the tab would have been buying a $30M house and giving talented kids full scholarships.

Stern's one of the stingiest motherfuckers on the planet. Jimmy, who's not even worth a 1/10th of Stern's wealth can give away but Stern can't.

Believe me you, I agree 100%. I've seen some kids who couldn't go to school because of the money factor. Get good grades is bullshit. Play sports and you're in. Sad. My wife sees kids at her job, and every spring she ends up with one crying because they did everything right, got in to a great school and can't afford to go.

The Uber Jew donated scholarships totaling $100k in 2002 according to the BU school paper. While that's a lot of money to you and I, consider the tax benefits to him and the donations he's made to NSAL since.

Howard Stern funds Boston U. scholarships

(U-WIRE) BOSTON -- When Katherine Loy and Sandra Oliveira went to the annual College of General Studies ceremony on Friday, they expected to turn in their Capstone projects and hear announcements of academic accomplishments. They didn't expect to hear their own names announced for $10,000 scholarships, and they had no idea they'd be writing thank you letters to Howard Stern.

For the next five years, the Howard Stern Scholarship Fund will award two $10,000 scholarships to Boston University CGS students continuing in broadcast journalism at the College of Communication.

CGS sophomores Loy and Oliveira both received letters saying faculty members nominated them for a scholarship and asking them to write a two-page essay about the value of their CGS education. Both said they were "shocked" after hearing their names and the awards' details announced on Friday.

NMB, how dare you. Howard donated his time and talents for the wonderful NSAL calendar that raised SO much money for puppies and kittens.
And who can forget the pic of Pittsburgh with the Mcdonalds sign that he took from his private plane window from his iPhone, and auctioned off? And it was slightly askew so that means 'artsy'.
And golly gee, doesn't Beth give 10% of the profit from her Bling a Boner jewelry to animoes? (hmm, so I guess that is zero.zero)
