On 14 January 2016, 10 Cloverfield Lane was revealed by Bad Robot Productions. The film takes place in the same universe as Cloverfield, and is described as a "blood relative" to Cloverfield by Abrams, who produces the film. The film will be released on 11 March, 2016.
Look, you take a skyscraper sized monster plowing through a big city, and I'm fucking sold. You rarely see these types of movies...ever. Post apacolypto? Check. Zombies? Check. Monsters the size of buildings? We need more of those.

This film had been rumored to be the sequel to 2008 sleeper hit Camp Nowhere. The film takes place in the same universe as Camp Nowhere, and is described as a "blood relative" to Rookie of the Year by producer J.J. Abrams.
Principal photography on the film began on September 11, 2001 in Khloe Kardashian, Whale. Filming ended on December 15, 2014 when Khloe entered hibernation.
I never saw the first one, is it good ?
I liked it a lot. It's a found footage movie though so be ready for the shaky camera.
