John Cleese says political correctness has gone too far, especially on America's college campuses, where he will no longer go to perform. The very essence of his trade — comedy — is criticism and that not infrequently means hurt feelings. But protecting everyone from negative emotion all the time is not only impractical (one can't control the feelings of another), but also improper in a free society. Cleese, having worked with psychiatrist Robin Skynner, says there may even be something more sinister behind the insistence to be always be politically correct.

John Kreese is the man, we should take this very seriously.

I agree with him, but John Cleese always came off as a dick to me.

    Humphrey:
So, just listen. Now, did I or did I not... do... vaginal... juices?

    Humphrey:
Name two ways of getting them flowing, Watson.

    Watson:
R - rubbing the clitoris, sir?

    Humphrey:
What's wrong with a kiss, boy? Hmm? Why not start her off with a nice kiss? You don't have to go leaping straight for the clitoris like a bull at a gate. Give her a kiss, boy.

    Wymer:
    Suck the nipple, sir?

    Humphrey:
    Good. Good. Well done, Wymer.

    Humphrey:
Yes. Yes, I suppose so. Hmm?

    Humphrey:
Yes. Good. Nibbling the earlobe, uhh, kneading the buttocks, and so on and so forth. So, we have all these possibilities before we stampede towards the clitoris, Watson.

    Watson:
    Yes, sir. Sorry, sir.

John Cleese is perhaps the only person I ever met where I actually gave a fuck. Bumped into him at a bank machine and probably had a goofy look on my face when I saw him. He just looked at me, nodded and said "good day sir". :badger:

Robin, did you see the episode of One Tree Hill when the girl was told she couldn't speak out in school? That episode really spoke to me Robin.....Robin?

What I mean is that his humor is sort of based around that British/slightly condescending tone. It's what makes them hilarious (if you're into British humor....I mean humour). It's what's funny about Jeremy Clarkson in a similar way.

No, I get that, and I actually love British humor, I just mean he always came off as a "legit" dick, someone who's just a nasty person to hang out with...

Clarkson is a real asshole on some level too... Jimmy Carr, however, is someone who seems like a dick for the act, instead of just a dick for all times lol.
