I remember hearing something about Ralph and/or Jason Kaplan bitching that Hein was on Geektime and then talking about the same stuff(movies, etc.) on What's Worth Watching so Hein decided he would only talk about tv so now it's Jon Hein's TV Show. Just like Kaplan said about Hein, that is his passive/agressive behaviour at it's finest.

Did they ever make a formal statement about why the name was changed? I guess Jenny Hutt must be pissed.

Yes. Apparently TV Guide somehow owed the name what's worth watching. Or something like that. There was a threat of involving lawyers.

[h=1]TV Guide to radio show: Don’t use ‘What’s Worth Watching’[/h]TV fanatic and “Jump the Shark” creator Jon Hein hosted “What’s Worth Watching” on SiriusXM radio for nearly two years before TV Guide magazine said anything about the show’s name.
[IMG] Jon Hein, host of "Fast Food Mania" and "Jon Hein's TV Show"

Then “I got a letter saying that they have a trademark on the term, What’s Worth Watching, which they’ve started to use in the magazine,” Hein told his listeners earlier this month.
Hein says the people he dealt with at TV Guide apparently were unaware that he sold his Jump the Shark site to their magazine in 2006.
“I wrote them back and asked if it would be cool” if the weekly show kept its name. “They said they would prefer not because they thought the Twitter feed and the website were confusing.”
So Hein then changed the name of his radio show to “Jon Hein’s TV Show.”
By the way, Hein is also hosting “Fast Food Mania,” which debuts June 3 on Discovery’s Destination America. The Type 1 diabetic will be eating food from Sonic, Dunkin Donuts, Dominos, Taco Bell, Nathan’s Famous and other places.

Since these guys are all clamoring for work, I guess it can't hurt to plaster your name wherever you can.

why does he think that's relevant to him using their trademark?
