As usual, looks like Johnny D isn't really playing the guitar.

Side note - saw these guys are coming to Ohio, about an hour from me. Meet and greet tickets are $1,350. Would be cool to meet Alice, but Depp isn't worth anything close to $1,350.

I've met Alice a few times... One of the nicest guys ever. I imagine Depp would just do his weirdo Schtick and it would be more of an annoying encounter than anything.

He is playing- he's just not doing any heavy lifting.
Pretending to be Keith Richards and carrying a tune by himself is waaaay too much like work.

I met him the first time a book signing in AZ... I hung around and annoyed him so much for pics and this was the result! I had that pic blown up and I matted and framed it and the second time I met him at a horror convention I had him autograph the matte.

He's playing rhythm guitar parts, which is mostly just strumming along.

I'm going to the Vampires show in Dayton in July. It looks like it will be a fun gig for all involved. Alice and Joe Perry, along with Depp, apparently are the constants of the band lineup, with other "Vampires" rotating in and out as they can. Alice's band also are coming along to fill in as needed. It will be nice to see Alice on stage without all his props, focusing on singing and not just doing the same songs and stunts. G'n'R will be in Cincinnati on July 7th, so I'm guessing that maybe Duff and Slash may be part of the group for the Dayton show.

Just saw Alice for about the 10th time last week. He sounded awesome. I was so pumped when he did Public Animal #9. Never heard that one live before.

Nice! I would like to just once hear his current band tear through "My Stars" from that same album just once, instead seeing that stupid Frankenstein prop wobble around for the sixth time (I exagerate only slightly, I think I've seen that robot thing about 3x now).
