I'd be surprised if it breaks 8 million.

Against the Dancing With the Stars semi-finals? Good luck with that. Is Jon Leiberman (whoever that is) willing to put his money where his mouth is?

The best part will be all the scrambling for excuses when it falls short. Jon Hein will come running in with some great stat: "it scored the highest rating ever among 18 year old gay Latino males with lobotomies!!!!"

Because he knows it won't even come close and this gives us perspective as to the kinda numbers he needs to make it a success!

Not only are they up against DTWS (which I don't watch but know enough that it's a pretty popular show) but isn't AGT up against Two and Half Men and How I Met Your Mother? It's over Johnny. It will do well in the ratings but by the way those asskissing sycophants were talking (Robin,Gary,Ralph,Jon Hein,Jon Leiberman,Lisa G,Jason...basically the whole staff) you`d think it was going to bring in Superbowl type numbers. Get real. It will probably do really well but it`s up against some pretty stiff competition. At least Howard was being slightly realistic. Even he doesn`t think AGT will beat DWTS and neither do I. The Voice couldn`t even beat it and it was pretty popular.

So, is Lieberman saying they will do WORSE this year? :hat:

    From 2011
    8:00-9:00pm NBC:
"America's Got Talent" season premiere (13.3 million viewers, 8.0/13 households)
    9:00-10:00pm - NBC: "America's Got Talent" season premiere (16.6 million, 9.6/15)

    From 2010
    8:00-9:00pm NBC:

9:00-10:00pm NBC: "America's Got Talent" season premiere (13.4 million, 7.9/13)

The 2010 premiere averaged 12.3 million viewers
, while the 2011 premiere averaged almost 15 million viewers.

Not to mention the coveted 60 year old scarf-wearing bald male demographic.
