Chicago is the Butthole of this state ! It the reason the entire state sucks !! About every law is based on that little area up in the northern corner of our state !
It is full of thugs and criminals and the law makers think gun control will stop the thugs from killing !

All gun laws do is take away a familys ability to defend against a gun toting criminal in a crime riddled area ...

 

Maybe some of the decent people of that city can shoot back.

It's Black Letter Law that State Regulations MUST NOT violate the US Constitution.

Since the 2nd Amendment protects the individual right town a firearm and the US Supreme Court has affirmed that in the Heller case,
no jurisdiction may BAN the sale and possession of firearms.

Any regulation, outside of an outright ban, must still be consistent with the US Constitution.

You could cut gun violence by 90% by simply making possession of an illegal firearm a minimum 10 years in jail, and 20 years if committing a crime with it.
