Jurassic World eats box office alive with biggest opening weekend OF ALL TIME bringing in more than $500million

Rivals of summer blockbuster Jurassic World may wish the movie's stars stayed in the Cretaceous period after the dinosaur flick stomped its competitors at the box office and had the highest grossing opening weekend ever.

The fourth Jurassic Park film, produced by Steven Spielberg, grossed more than $511million worldwide the weekend of June 12th through 14th, according to movie tracking website Rentrack.

Jurassic World's global success was buoyed by a strong showing in the US, where it grossed more than $204million.

"When you take into account inflation, budget, advertising and the like, it's not quite as successful as the opening of my movie, Robin."

I caught half yesterday before I fell asleep, and my kids finished it today. Gawd what a lame ass idiotic movie!!! Who writes this shit and who PAYS to see it?

The story was so predictable, even my 10yo son was correctly predicting what will happen next.

The grosses are all exaggerated now because of high ticket costs for 3D and enhanced sound systems.

I hate going to the movie theater because of disruptive people. I was glad when that guy shot up the Batman movie, because that gave me a legitimate excuse with my gf to never go to the movies again.

I thought it was kinda stupid and corny...just like everything else Speilberg has touched in the last 10 years.

The first one was by far the best in the series, and still holds up pretty well. This latest one was basically the same movie...I guess they figured kids today wouldn't realize....it was 22 years ago.

I can't stand the sound of people chomping on popcorn. Distracts me from the movie.

Well, I guess it is predictable. But pretty much any action blockbuster is. Avengers 2 Spoilers... kind of.
Didn't we know Ultron was gonna go fuck wild after Tony was talking about making use of this new advanced AI? Didn't we know Banner was gonna Hulk out no matter how much he said he didn't want to? Yeah.
We know the dinos are going to run amok.

I liked it. I liked it a lot actually. Jurassic Spoiler
Was the idea to use raptors and smaller I. Rexes as military tech kind of silly? Yes.
But it delivered the right amount of nostalgia, looked great and the story was decent enough. Bryce is sexy as fuck. The visuals were great. It sounded great. It never lulled for me. It's better than the previous sequels.

Robin, around 2010 I said that I thought they should do another sequel to Jurassic Park. See how they keep stealing my ideas? I can't catch a break Robin.....Robin?

The absolute worst is when somebody brings a fucking baby. That shouldn't even be allowed. All reasonable people should boycott movie theaters that allow babies inside.

He's obviously capable of better. The problem is the premise should be horrifying. Dinosaurs attacking people trapped on an island should be a horror film, not family fun. But Spielberg is going to go the family fun route every time. He loves a Hollywood cliché.
