Just called Sirius to cancel. Their new work-around to avoid?

    Just called Sirius to cancel my subscription.

    After being on hold for 15 minutes, a representative finally picked up.

    After a few minutes of her trying to locate my account number due to "her computer system not working", she asked me to call back later in "a few hours" so I can talk with another person who hopefully can help me. Yeah right.

    Call back. If you get the same response, tell the person you want to be transferred to a manager.. NOW. The agent will then magically be able to access your info.

    you should call with some standard question about your account without indicating you want to cancel. once they've pulled your account up, then say you'd like to cancel.

    I called last week to cancel because my radio no longer works and I was connected immediately. The representative was very professional and very helpful. :thumbup2:

    Sirius reps are all over the place. There are a couple really good ones but I reckon they get fed up with the company and find better jobs, thus leaving Sirius with a greater concentration of shitty reps.

    How the hell were you able to understand your rep? Whenever I had to call (before I cancelled) I had some Fillipino who sounded like me trying to read Spanish cue cards.

    The woman I spoke with spoke perfect English and didn't not have an accent. She had to have been american and living in the U.S.

    They called me two weeks ago to renew and I told them to cancel, my subscription is still on and they call me twice a day and I don't pick up. I wonder how long my freebie will last??

    Actually, when I cancelled over two years ago, the person I got spoke great English and other than offering me a few months free, just asked me why I was canceling? When I told him because I got Sirius for Howie and his show and channels suck shit, he just sort of chuckled and put through my request.

    the time warner guy wouldn't cancel me til I answered his questions on why I wanted to cancel..I never answered the ass..finally had to hang up call again and could cancel after a smaller struggle

    I've noticed that many places now are bringing their call centers back to the US and make a point of telling you. I called my credit card company yesterday and she said "Hi this is so and so. I'm here in Dallas Texas, how can I help you?" It's so awesome when you don't have to listen closely to figure out what the fuck they are saying.
