Brick and mortar they price match plus 10%. Online, it's an even match.

I called them and they matched a price on Amazon. Got a $29 item down to $22. It's a shelf, and the reviews aren't great so I want to be able to return it to a store with no hassle if it sucks.

    Goo for me

Those look perfect for cans of paint you'll never use again.

    Don't waste your time.
    Those things are absolute crap.

Thing is, I have one I got a long time ago and it's a great shelf, if.....you can deal with putting it together like a huge erector set (I can) and if you get one that was stamped well so everything lines up (I did).

If you put it together straight and square, it's rock solid and very strong.

I need a shallow shelf and there aren't many that are 12"

If I get a bad one off the production line, I can just take it back to the store.

That's good for storing cotton balls or bubble wrap.

Home Depot used to match Lowes and also match Lowes 5% off if you had a Home Depot card but they don't anymore.

If I ever buy anything online at HD I will never use my Paypal account. I ordered something once, they were out of it after I paid and it took over a month to get a refund. and it wasn't even cash from my pp account, it was bought with my PP credit card thru the paypal link, so be careful.

I played around and wasted time and money when figuring out what shelves worked best for my needs and my warehouse.
I still have a couple of the ones you have(i'm too cheap to throw away)

The ones I ended up going with are easy to reconfigure(I need to change regularly) and they look nice and don't trap dirt/dust.
Almost all came from Lowes HERE I have about 35 sets. and about 12 sets from Office Depot. They had them on clearance for $18 or so

They make them in 12" and others.
a few sellers on ebay usually run promos, and some even include casters.

Nice. I need a very specific size so my options are pretty thin but I found one of those you recommended for 111. But... $22....

You should be able to get them for a lot less.
    Try Walmart or Target

They price matched it just to try to unload it off their shelf

They knew it was garbage too

"Here just take it, really you can have it"

I already have one and I like it!! :pissed:

But seriously, I guarantee that most of the bad reviews are by people who just expect the thing to put itself together. It's a cheaper shelf because it requires a little/lot extra work. It's actually a fine shelf, but you better have power drivers to assemble it and you better know how to make something true and square -- two big roadblocks for most people.

You have to read the reviews as they apply to yourself. Most would have trouble assembling this thing and if that's why they gave it one star, I can promptly ignore the review.

Another issue was getting a bad mfg run where the pieces were stamped all shitty. That I would take it back for. Short of that, I like the unit. It's actually very strong. 750lb capacity. That's 100+ lbs on each shelf.

I use these plastic Home Depot shelves. In my basement and garage.

I have a couple plastic shelves and if you put anything heavy on them, they sag horribly over time (couple of mine are sagging 1" or more). I don't think I would buy them again.

    Metal doesn't do that.

I bought some gate kits when I was building my fence and the reviews were all over the place. After reading through the brunt of them it was obvious that the vast majority of the negative reviews were from dolts that couldn't assemble a bread sammich. I was right and the kits are awesome.

I have about 12 of these that I have acquired over the years. Cheap, easy to put together, strong. They do tend to warp a bit but they are easy to move around and I have moved the same ones from garages to storage units for going on 20 years now.
