Just got back from spending 8 days in NYC, couldnt wait to leave now I'm miserable back here in L.A. and I want to go right back! I mean I was born in NYC and couldnt wait to leave but as soon as I leave I am miserable. anybody else have this kind of love hate relationship with NYC or where they live?

The one thing I did come away with this time was that you need to be trully rich to live well in NYC. Otherwise the reality of the city will wear your ass down to a nob.

Four nights in NYC is perfect for me. The pace of the city can really wear you out especially on a hot summer day.
But it's a great place to just eat, drink, and people watch.

Did you enjoy spending $8 for half of a sandwich. Soup included, of course.

Lifelong dream to live there and I did way back in the late 1980s......made it about a year - really takes a lot out of you and it's a hard life. I love visiting now especially since I'm usually on expense account.

It's unique - but honestly a lot of it is hype. Crowded, loud, dirty, expensive.

Walking around on the sidewalks in NYC is an adventure in rudeness , people have no repect, hurrying, pushing, flying elbows, darting, cutting, gotta be really careful for sure.

NYC is not nearly as fun or exciting as it was in the 1970's & 1980's before Adolph Guialaini got hold of it

It's fun to stay a few nights at the Waldorf.. But Ebola and blacks ruin most of it nowadays.

New York City wears me out. Too much happening at once and it burns out my senses. Every trip I take to Manhattan is like a battle for me.

I guess I have the best of both worlds. I live close enough so that I can go in for the day/night and come back to my warm, cozy bed.
