wish this could be a more interesting thread like BM's coming out #101 but.. I just had to review an employee that does not report to me, and he is probably going to be canned because of it. personally i do not believe in negative management; i don't believe some people are useless. i prefer to help people make meaningful contributions and become valuable. I was told to review this guy who has just not been making it, and i do not know if he has outside issues (he seems to be fucking up more than someone not trying to get fired would normally do) that make it difficult for him to fit the square hole they assigned to him. I do not like finding deficiencies but that is all my seniors wanted: they did not want me to provide a balanced review. they wanted me to write up a condemnation (probably because they want justification to fire him) and now i feel dirty. i should be paid more for having to behave as a subhuman. if i liked alcohol i would be mixing tequila now. wonder if someone delivers knishes.
