Been a couple of years. Felt like watching another three hour movie.
If Jackie Earle Haley didn't smoke so munching during Bad News Bears his voice wouldn't sound like a clogged chainsaw.
The comic book was much better, movie was so-so.
I never read the comics. And the movie could probably be at least 30 minutes shorter.
The comic was one of the best ever the movie was great but was saved from being mediocre by a great Rorschach performance.
Yeah I was pissed when Mr Manhattan blew him up.
Rorsasch is even cooler in the comic. He tortured the child molester in the comic instead of just burying a hatchet in his head in the movie.
I kind of liked the hatched through the forehead motif.
What the fuck. This DVD has no special features.
In the comic he handcuffs him to the water heater in the basement. Then hands him a hacksaw and tells him you have two choices. Cut of your hands or try to cut through the cuffs. Then he set fire to the basement and watches to make sure the molester doesnt escape. I think they should have left that original.
There may have been legalities preventing them from doing so. The Saw movies were in their prime in 2009.
The comic was written in the late 80's. Im pretty sure the Saw movies and even the first Mad Max movie ripped that idea off from the Watchmen comic book
That's all true. But I'm not sure of the parameters of the laws. Being in a comic and appearing on screen may fall under different guidelines. I'm really not sure. The MPAA may also have had a hand in this.
