holy shit that was bad, screw ups left and right, unfunny skits. Awful cast. Anyone else see it?
I have it on my TiVo... Thank heavens for fast forward!
I don't feel too bad about missing it now.
Guess I will wait for the rerun.
Yeah. It was a real stinker. SNL is awful so far this season.
That sketch with Rock and Leslie Jones as the older couple getting ready for a date was unwatchable. They kept stumbling over their lines and even when the jokes landed they weren't funny. It seemed like it was written between commercial breaks.. Hell, maybe they let Prince write a sketch.
Also, Rock really leaned on the cue cards the whole show. Like, to a distracting degree. I wonder if he's a diva that refuses to do rehearsals or he's just a really bad actor?
Let's just say, I can't believe he gets movie roles.
This is what stood out the most for me.
And somehow, the black guy on Weekend Update was even worse - which is truly remarkable considering he doesn't even have to pretend to act. All he has to do is sit there and read - something that would no longer appear to be fundamental on SNL.
Lorne michaels chose this cast?
Caught a bit right before going to bed. Some lame, convoluted sketch about women in the 90s struggling with 'diversity'. Rock suddenly looked very old to me.
Big screen and HD are not kind.
sterns love for SNL has doomed it
I have to wonder about Chris Rocks choice of sketches, but maybe he didn't have anything good offered
Watched the unfunny Ebola opening and the bizarre monologue regarding terrorism. Couldn't take it anymore and turned it off.
If you can't make Ebola funny, there is no hope for anything else.
Chris Rock was never good when he was *on* SNL. He is good at one thing only, and that is standup.
I had to ff through Prince- he needs to retire already.
The only episode that's been any good this season was Jim Carrey's.
Why can't the blaek news anchor read? Didn't this show up during auditions?
I may have psychic powers, as everything you described I predicted before the show started and therefore declined to watch.
I thought his opening stand-up was good, the rest awful
Let's face reality: Rock blew his entire wad with his first HBO special. It was great, but he's never equaled it since, let alone surpassed it.
This cast is easily the worst even. It feels stupid to even have to write that...they are the worst by a mile.
Who's that giant black chick...she seems like she's never even done this sort of thing before. Like she's never attended a single improve class.
She some sort of 'diversity' hire?
Prince was good, though.
A couple weeks ago, I heard a story on an ABC network radio station celebrating that SNL had increased their 'diversity' by hiring another black female. How the fuck this was national news still escapes me.
That sketch was unbelievably bad...Leslie Jones forgot her lines and there was an awkward couple of seconds there where there was no dialogue at all just blank air...Weekend Update was a mess and Michael Che can't read his cue cards. Lorne Michaels sucks and is so full of himself he has lost his ability to put a cohesive show together. He needs to be fired and as do all the writers. They should just run Best of SNL with shows from the 80's and 90's when the show was actually funny.
