You guys talk 100% hate about Stern and his show and how his show is really fucking horrible now etc.

But did you also hate the show in the beginning of Satellite? When was the time it started to go really downhill according to you guys?

I still enjoy the show, by the way. I liked it better when I just started listening in the beginning of 2011, though. It was more raw and less PC. I love listening to old shows from 2008 with Artie in it and clips from YouTube with Gilbert.

I stopped listening full time around 2007/2008 when Artie turned into an arrogant asshole(reading the paper during interviews, wearing shades, sleeping, fighting with everyone and immediately pulling the money card). Survived off HTV and youtube since. But yeah, the show was great for the first year or two of Sirius.

Loved it in the late 90's and early 2000's.

The first year or so was great. The howie got all of his bonuses and just didn't care after that. He made the money and has been coasting ever since. No show prep, no trying to improve the show, same guests over and over, and getting a shorter and shorter schedule. I stopped caring shortly after howie stopped trying.

The show was great until about 2008, maybe even right up to the point where Artie left. Howard still "evolved" before Artie left, but having Artie there made up for it a bit. I still like the show but it's a shell of it's former self..

I never lived in a place where Wiggy was on terrestrial so I first heard him on Sirius. Loved the show until the new contract - it was like day and night.

Yes, Wiggy. You ARE that transparent. You got a pay cut and you've sulked ever since. You sure showed us fans, King Baby.

After he married that horse and built a house in Hamptons and became obsessed with his looks and started craving fame & acceptance from celebs because that's the only thing that his new wife liked about him and started being PC and abandoned everything that he stood for and made his show, the show went down hill.

I began listening to the show when it was on wnbc....so I've been around quite awhile. The show began it's slide when Jackie left.....it was never the same. It became unlistenable when Artie began to "act out" by falling asleep, monopolizing conversations and missing work, of course, because of his out of control addiction.
What could have been amazing radio on Sirius became a huuuge disappointment when Howard became a PC old lady.

Was a fan in the 90's. When Allison and Jackie left. I effectively left as well . . . :coffee:

We went to Sirius for The Revolution and in the beginning it was funny as hell. They were having to create bits and phone calls. The roasts were always funny.
And then Howard got The Tapes. It was all downhill from there

I always listened but Sirius soured me on the show. All through terrestrial radio Howard repeatedly said he wouldn't dump crap on the listeners just to make a buck. Then he moves to the K-Mart of radio and Sirius is bombarding us to buy exceptionally inferior technology radios that the so korean garage mechanics making them laugh at us for spending so much for the xmas toy rejects they silkscreen Sirius on. Then to tune in every morning to the same lines from Artie "She's the most beautiful girl i've ever seen" Lange when he managed to wake up and refrain from trying to kill another member of the staff. I love Howard but by surrounding himself with substandard support staff he's gone from not ready for prime time to over-ripe.

The first two years of Sirius were the best since Jackie left. it got a little tiring by mid 2008 when my sportster radio crapped out, so I didn't bother with renewing my subscription. Gave in and signed back up when Howard 100/101 became available on the iPhone app. It was like a completely different show. Just the worst kind of p.c. daytime women's t.v. show. Still glad I got Sirius again just for the o&a channel.

I agree with this post. I thought the show was great during the first sirius contract and then went in the toilet immediately when he renewed.

I started to hate Howard when I found out that the revolution meant SOME Fridays off, which turned into some Thursdays off. I completed my disdain for him when the revolution hit a two day work week. That's just fucked up.

When Jackie got blackballed was the start of many bad things to come.
