Richard Lewis. He makes me laugh. He's like a funnier version of the neurotic Jew-side of the family.
I guess I should mention Jim Florentine will also be in our neck of the woods the exact same time as Kevin Nealon. We've seen Jim numerous times but we do enjoy him so much, so I'd be up for seeing him again. We just don't have all this spare time to run around seeing comics. Hard decisions.
True. Why would you pass?? Not a fan of either of them? Explain how Lewis has lost it...this may factor into my decision... Point taken. He seems like he'd be totally cool and laid back to hang with...
very...just sat there telling jokes and poking fun at us all i like his laid back approach to comedy, lewis just seems angry about everything
I just saw Kevin Nealon 2 weeks ago in DC. He was good, not great, pleasant, safe. He did 45 minutes. Was worth $21.00. That's all.
Correct. I always found Nealon a complete bore on SNL, and I was always distracted by his really bad wig/hair. Haven't really seen him in anything else except the brief shot in "Big". Lewis was always always too manic and coked up to be funny, even on the show with Jamie Lee Curtis. He's a comedian who thinks he's WAY funnier and more interesting than he actually is. Neuroses are only appealing when they're funny. (Contrast with Robin Williams, whose coke filled lunacy WAS funny, in my opinion anyway. He had the smarts and wit and funnybone to back it all up.)
Thanks for the thoughtful input. I think I'm more of a fan of Nealon because of his role on Weeds. Richard Lewis charmed me on Curb Your Enthusiasm.
