Evidently I have a couple of kidney stones in my left kidney. Had blood in my urine this morning(hematauria) so I went to stony brook and the did an ultra sound and a cat scan. Also found a lesion on my kidney which may be a benign cyst as well as one on the left lobe of my liver. No backed up urine or enlargement of my kidneys. Made an appointment with a urologist on the 24th. Has anyone ever had a kidney stone? I'm not in any pain yet but expect I will be when the stones start traveling down the ureter.
Howard related because listening to his show is as painful as a kidney stone and Beth is a lesion.

My wife had one, was the size of a grain of sand. She said it hurt worse than giving birth, I don't envy you. Good luck.

I had a gallbladder attack two years ago that landed me in the ER. Turned out I had two stones. A couple of days later they removed my gallbladder and now I'm all good.

i had them many times in college it came from drinking shit loads of ice tea some people cant break down some chemical in it.

passing them feels like something exploded inside you its fucking horrible and the process can take months some times the good news is you wll get a nice supply of percocets and maybe even oxycontin depending how much u complain about the pain

my advice try to find out what is causing it and change ur diet and drink TONS of water and cranberry juice in the future, if u get them a few times it will wreak havoc on your urethra which in turn causes enlarged prostate, the result is you will neve piss or jizz without massive pain ever again

Are you going to have it removed? The surgery is pretty easy.

Depending on the size, you could pass it/them without much notice or you will be begging for death. Once it's passed, you'll feel great immediately. If the pain is too much and you are able to take drugs, get yourself to the hospital and get some Toradol. The world will immediately be a better place. By the way, the greatest pain is often a few days before you actually pass the stone. Good luck.

I had an MRI about 4 years ago and 3 fairly large stones showed up. Urologist told me they may or may not ever give me trouble-no issues yet, but I feel like I'm sitting on a time bomb.

A whole lemon squeezed into lukewarm water in the morning, keeps the kidney stones away and the gallbladder and liver running smoothly. :)

It was the first time I had one where I was vomiting and dry heaving---It's happening because I've lost some weight suddenly---I don't want to have surgery, I'm hoping it was a one time deal

Yeah I read that too M, but I stick to lemon water. Not a fan of the taste of apple cider vinegar. :snicker:

Unless you want to buy me a hot apple cider in the winter, then I'm down ha.

That's usually indicative of gallstones. I wouldn't wait to have an ultrasound if it happens again. On the plus side, the actual surgery is pretty minor. It was almost totally painless, I was up walking around the same day.
