i was looking forward to buying his early demos "Montage of Heck." Some passionate reviewers are ripping the shit out of it, saying it was him just fucking around and talking, that he'd never want them released, and that it's just a money grab. Is it a fsir move by Courtney?

no, I hate it when they do this to dead artists. If the artist wanted this content released, they would have done it.

Yes it's fair. If you don't want things like this to happen you don't marry a cunt and then shoot yourself.

Cobain is the second most overrated musician of all time behind Springsteen.

Who were the dumb-fucks that compared themselves to the Beatles?

Can't remember their name, but I would definitely put them on your list too.

I made the mistake of overlistening to Nevernind as a teen and can't listen to it anymore. Doesn't hold up for me these days.

WGAF? If his hard core fans hate it so much, they should just ignore it. Cobain has been dead for 20 years. If hearing some unreleased early stuff can make his fans think less of him, then he really wasn't a musical genius to begin with.

Which he he wasn't. They were a good band, who through no fault of their own, were grossly overhyped by piece-of-shit Rolling Stone magazine and other members of the music media at the time.

The members of Nirvana thought it was cool that Weird Al Yankovich did a parody of "Smells Like Teen Spirit." They were flattered. Good for them.

And so the few screwball fans who treat Nirvana and Kurt like the 2nd coming of The Beatles are a bunch of idiots.

I was just talking about it in a general sense, releasing unfinished works of dead artists. It seems to happen to all of them. just seems fucked up to me.

I think history has revealed that Dave Grohl was the brains behind Nirvana.

Didn't you hear Grohl's interview on stern?
He said he actually had little to do.
Wrote a little here and there but not much at all.

Had he ripped off Boston and Killing Joke yet or did that come after the demos?

I like Nirvana for the record. But I gotta call it like it is.

The story of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana has been written. Releasing demos won't change anything. If I was a huge fan I'd be interested in hearing them. Doesn't diminish the music they made, in my view. Would rather stuff like that be available if I wanted to hear it, and not locked away somewhere.
