SNL pretty much sucked last night - except for the cold opening. They parodied the Democratic Debate - and surprise performances by Alec Baldwin and Larry David as Bernie Sanders knocked it out of the park.

The entire sketch was spot-on and very funny:

I always love this notion that comedians or shows don't make fun of the other party. ..just yours.

Jon Stewart would make fun of Dems.
    Trevor Noah has done it.
    Stephen Colbert does it.
Bill Maher whole monologue Friday was about what idiots and losers were on the stage.

Now I agree that some liberals can't take a joke the same way that some conservatives can't either, but please, if a dem says something silly or stupid a comedian will make fun of it regardless of the party.

I know Colbert would make fun of Democrats some. I am a fan of his after all.
Stewart did it reluctantly, except when the IRS scandal broke.

I was just talking about SNL in particular.

The cold opening was great. The Famliy Feud was funny. And Brian Fellows always makes me laugh.

    LD was awesome.

Obviously not reading the shit that SNL writers came up with but doing his own thing.

Tracy Morgan's monologue was painfully unfunny after the 1st joke.

Exactly what I expected reading the thread last night:

Larry David is great as he always is. But take Larry David out of the sketch and it's the usual pile of shit the show is known for...

Buncha marks you all are letting LDs genius cloud your perception of an entire show/segment...

    Yeah. This completely.

He was doing textbook Seinfeld type observational humor shit.

Totally did the Curb Your Enthusiasm thing, had an outline and winged it based on his little notebook he carries around.
