Nice, I'll get to go see the Kings in Vegas.
It's gonna be one of those things where everyone in there to watch the road team. No home ice advantage. The casinos will have dibs on all the good seats and luxury suites too
Prob. could do well in the long run. Hot climates will get people in to chill down.
Q: Why didn't they just send one of the 8 underperforming (as far as attendance and marketing dollars) teams there?
A: Franchise fees baby.
Another team for the Penguins to steamroll.
That's why Phoenix does so well...
Team has already sold 13,200 season tickets without a single casino order. MGM will probably lock the other gaming companies out of the arena, since they own it.
If they name them the "Black Knights" (which is rumored), that would be horrific. I favor "Aces", because of the tie in with Nellis AFB and the Thunderbirds as well as the obvious wink and nod to what goes on in the casino. Then when we pick up Joel Ward in the expansion draft we can advertise him as "The Ace of Spades".

"Nobody cares about hockey, Boomer."
They should be the Vegas Moe Greens. He built that damn town!
Isnt Vegas getting a NFL team? If so then hockey is gonna suffer big time.
Fucked over Quebec City. Makes my blood boil.
Seemingly half of Canada's wealthy residents live in the US sunbelt in the Winter
Quebec will get a team in the future. They deserve one. It's a huge hockey town. Vegas will move to Seattle in 10 years.
