My mom's had it and couldn't be happier with the results.

I'm still somewhat scared to try it. I'm so afraid something will go wrong. I value my vision so much.

I had it done 5 plus years ago and I am happy with it. But fuck me I am getting old and now I need reading glasses for close up shit.

I did have some complications though as well as dry eyes for a while. It got worked out.

that's kind of my take on it. 95%+ of people who have it report being satisfied with the results, but i worry i'd be in that 5% range that would get my eyes fucked up somehow.

what kind of complications? were they pretty terrible? any idea why -- like, is there something weird about your eyes or was it just one of those things?

    :cheer: nice.

to be fair, they don't really shoot at your eyeballs. it's more of a steady beam of lasers that cuts open the eyeball.

I have cataracts forming and was told that Lasik could get rid of them. I'm sceptical because the long term effects are unknown and because Kathy Griffin is a rich famous person who could afford anything and had eye damage from a Lasik procedure.

Worked fantastic for my nearsightedness, only negative is that on the rare occasion when I'm in a confined space and working on something really close(like less than 10" from my face) it's blurry, where before I had no issue on focusing on things that close up. Annoying, but thankfully occasions when I need ultra close vision are pretty rare.

My sister in law had it doen a couple of years ago. She's happy. She looked at it from a financial view. She saves money by not having to buy glasses or contacts.

I think a chick looks cute in glasses. jmo
