Seems like everybody is tired over here.
I'm taking my 2 off at the beginning of July.
Starting it off with a 3 day July 4th weekend.
Road trip through Belgium and Germany. Gonna do the castle route through Germany with my girlfriend.
Rented a BMW 3-series.
Dude, that's awesome. Enjoy
Havent had two weeks off since before I was in high school, wtf is wrong with me.
How many weeks are you legally entitled to have in vacation in The Netherlands, @RenchFries?
I get 4 weeks per year plus 4 sick days but i just cant seem to take more than about 5 days in a row. I end up taking a lot of fridays off at the end of the year if i am over my limit.
You have it pretty good compared to some people.
Why not Mondays though? I'd much rather have Monday off than Friday. I guess it depends what you do, though.
I hear ya; for me, mondays are super busy and if i miss a monday I will end up working like an african pyramid builder the next 4 days to make up for it. Fridays, not much is happening bwow chicka bwow bwow
That's what I figured. Some jobs you really can't miss Monday.
By law, for a full-time job, you get 25 off days plus around 5 national holidays (depending on whether they fall in the weekend or not).
If you like lots of vacation, you need to move to France, they get 36 days off.
We don't have maximum sick days here. When you're sick, you're sick, end of story. They can't fire you for being sick, either. There are people out there with burn-out who've been at home for a year and are still collecting a full paycheck.
And that's how we get the fat lazy stereotype.
No, that's because of American reality TV shows that are aired all over the world. You guys should seriously stop putting your worst retards on TV.
That stereotype pre-dates reality tv...i think its from our tourists. Englands pretty fucking fat too, imo.
You have a point, the last three seasons of survivor and big brother really had me hoping for everyone's brutal death. Not a redeeming shit on either show anymore.
The ironic thing is that most of the formats of huge shows are actually invetned here in the Netherlands. Big Brother, The Voice, Idol... All the big ones. Watch for "EndeMol productions".
Jerry Springer, Maury Povich, and Dog the bounty hunter, that's all American, though.
Good point about tourists. The British are the worst, though, closely followed by the Russians and Polacks.
