This is old, and I've heard it a bunch of times - but someone fooled around w/ the levels (and whatever else) on this Alice in Chains song from their last album to make it sound like Layne's on vocals. Pretty good job.

Layne rules but Jerry holds his own with what's left.

The new guy is close. When he and Jerry harmonize it sounds like old school AIC. It sounds so much like layne and Jerry singing it's spooky.

The last record was good, Black Gives Way To Blue. The title track and Private Hell are really dark, sad songs like classic Alice

They do sound a lot alike, but I can definitely tell the difference. Staley's sound was so unique and unforced. Had a real honesty to it. New singer has a good voice but it lacks the conviction of Staley's

Oh for sure. You could feel the pain in staley's voice.

    Six feet under.

Your avatar speaks metal, love it. I saw Pantera at Ozzfest back in 2000 or 2001. Long live Dimebag.

This might be the Columbus show I went to, the lawn turned into a giant swirling mosh pit. Coolest thing ever.
