    Gig on Sunday, practice tomorrow.
Been playing the goldtop mainly, but I'm thinking it's a Tele weekend. Yeah, they're polygraphs, but so light and so pure sounding.
    What say you guitarists?

Gold top: lower mids; good sustain; versatile. Go to for rhythm/standard rock/grounds other instruments.
Tele: split between mids/highs; sudden sound curve/twang; not as versatile but stands out. Crisp strike notes. Go to for picking/arpeggiation.

Are you playing more Aerosmithy or more Hendrixy. I own them both. I use what is appropriate.

I'd go with the Tele, just because I prefer singlecoils.

Depends on the material but gun to my head, you gotta go with a Les Paul.

I'm leaning tele. I have a 'bucker-sized P90 in front and the middle position provides a smooth and strangely hum-free sound. For tomorrow's selections, I need sparkle.

Totally a personal preference deal, but I'd rather have an American Telecaster.

Right call. If the pups lean vintage, you should get plenty of sparkle.

Tele... it's like a hooker..who cares if it dies?

LP headstock has a nasty weakness...and too special to lose. Keep her home.

In cases like this, I always think of what Elvis would do. Elvis would be high on painkillers and forget his guitar.
